Carmen Flores Elizondo

Carmen (Flores) Elizondo of Taylor, Texas passed away on March 3 ^rd , 2021, in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 96.  She was born on October 13, 1924, in Coupland, Texas, the second oldest of 8 children.  She married Frank Elizondo on October 23, 1944, in Bartlett, Texas.

She is survived by her children.  Gloria (Eustolio) Lopez of Cedar Park, Texas, Amelia Alderete of Taylor, Texas, Antonia (Eddie) Cruz of Blue, Texas, Raymond Elizondo of Taylor, Texas, and Anna (Armando) Tambunga of Austin, Texas.  Thirteen grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren,6 great, great grandchildren, sisters Ofelia Torres of San Antonio, Texas, Esther Martinez of Bartlett, Texas, and Brother Rogelio Flores of San Antonio, Texas.

Carmen is preceded in death by her husband Frank Elizondo, sisters Celia Correa, Eva Villarreal, and brothers Robert Castillo and Mike Castillo, son-in-law Elias Alderete.

Carmen was a strong woman of faith and lived each day with honesty and compassion for everyone.  She knew that she would rejoice in eternal peace with the Lord and be reunited with those she loved who had passed before her.  In the final days of her life she would tell the nursing staff at the nursing facility that she had such a wonderful family.  She said after her death she would be watching them to make sure they stayed that way.   Her special times were birthdays, Christmas and Thanksgiving.  She loved her family dearly and never missed a day asking about how everyone was doing.

Serving as pallbearers will be Carlos Tambunga, Emilio Tambunga, Brandon Torres, Jacob Torres, Raymond Anthony Elizondo, Roger Lopez.
