Betty Jo Rowe, 94, peacefully passed away on May 25, 2024, at New Hope Manor in Cedar Park, Texas. Born on December 5, 1929, in Thrall, Texas, to Josephine and Jim Kropp, Betty Jo lived a life marked by love, dedication, and joy.
A proud graduate of Thrall High School, Betty Jo married Jack Rowe from Taylor, Texas, with whom she shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. As a devoted homemaker, Betty Jo was known for her exceptional culinary skills and her unwavering love for her family. She found joy in playing bingo and shopping on QVC, activities that brought her much delight.
Betty Jo was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Rowe.
She leaves behind a loving family: her son Steve Rowe, his wife Gala and her daughter Jackie Smith; 5 grandchildren, Steven Strmiska, Keith Strmiska, Calvin Smith IV, Kali Anderson and Katy Brown; 6 great grandchildren, Hudson Strmiska, Blakely Strmiska, Rowe Brown, Milo Brown, Rinn Anderson and Jack Anderson; one sister, Peggy Novak, niece Dana Escobar, nephews Wade Novak and Jim Novak.
In remembrance of Betty Jo's remarkable life, the family will hold a private memorial and luncheon at a later date to celebrate her memory.
