Betty Ann Moerbe

Betty Ann Moerbe, age 88, of Taylor, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2023.

Betty was born September 1, 1935, in White Lake Wisconsin to Ben and Edna Popelka. She was the second child of seven children.

She met her husband, Harry, by being his pen pal while he was serving his country in the Korean war. Betty and Harry were married on September 3, 1955, in a double wedding with her sister Ruth and Tom Summers.

Betty worked at Taylor Bedding in Taylor, after retiring she worked at T.H. Johnson, Taylor High School in the cafeteria, St Paul’s Lutheran school, and Trinity Lutheran Day Care.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry and son Wayne Moerbe.

She is survived by her daughter, Hope, and husband Ron Marx; grandsons, Philip Moerbe, David and Michael Marx; great grand children Drak Marx and Melody Nowinsky; daughter-in-law Boni Moerbe; sisters Ruth Summers, Margie Allen, and Patricia (Robert) Schoal; brothers James (Judi) Popelka, Mike (Kathy) Popelka Mike (Kathy) Popelka, and Thomas (Karen) Popelka.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at St Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale, Texas on November 29, 2023, at 2PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorndale, Texas.
