Bessie Louise Haag

December 2, 1931 — March 8, 2019

Bessie Louise Haag, 87, Taylor, died Wednesday, March 8, 2019 at her home in Hutto.  Mrs. Haag was born in Taylor, Texas on December 2, 1931, the daughter of Henry and Louise (Barta) Strnad and she had a twin sister Rosie Strnad.  She was a resident of Taylor most of her life. She was a member of the SPJST.

On August 8, 1953, she married Jerry Haag.  She was employed by Intercraft until she retired.

Preceding her in death were her husband, father, mother, sister and son-in law, Lester Hudspeth.

Survivors include her son, Larry Haag and wife, Debra of Taylor; Rose Hudspeth of Hutto; Janice Bigon and husband John of Taylor; and Cathy Sholes of Hutto; four grandchildren, Christie Johnson and husband Brandon, Lisa Whisenant and husband Matt; Jennifer Bigon and Justin Bigon and wife Andrea; four great-grandchildren, Kolton Whisenant; Dakota & Rylee Johnson; and Bryce Bigon.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm Monday, March 11, 2019, Providence Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, March 12, 2019, St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Pallbearers: John Bigon, Jr., Justin Bigon, Brandon Johnson, and Matt Whisenant.

Special thanks to the care teams of Baylor Scott & White, Falcon Ridge Rehabilitation and A-Med Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
