Bernice Annie (Riske) Huf was born on February 9, 1933 in Walburg, Texas and went home to our Lord on May 5, 2019. She married Anton R. Huf on February 28, 1949.
Bernice worked for many years at Kerr-Ban Manufacturing in Taylor and then for the University of Texas in Austin.
She enjoyed her large immediate family which totaled 95. Family get-to-gethers were her favorite times that always had plenty of family, food and dominoes. Dancing was also one of her favorite pastimes.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Anton, son-in-law Gary Watson and two grandsons, Todd Faulk and Nathan Huf, by her parents and three sisters.
Bernice is survived by four daughters and two sons: Frances Michalek and Jerome of Granger, Harry Huf and Betty of Georgetown, Leonard Huf and Lillie of Granger, Judy Carter and Dennis of Taylor, Janette Madsen and Ronnie of Round Rock and Mary Watson of Lampasas. She is also survived by 23 Grandchildren with 16 Grandchildren in-law, 35 Great-Grandchildren with 5 Great-Grandchildren in-law, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren and one sister, Gladys Doerfler of Georgetown.
Pall bearers are: Harry Huf, Leonard Huf, Ronnie Madsen, Dennis Carter, Jerry Michalek and Kevin Schneider. Honorary Pall Bearers are: Jerome Michalek and Gary Watson.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 7 th at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor from 6 – 8 pm. The Funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 8 th at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Corn Hill.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Meals on Wheels program.
