Benjamin "Benny Joe" Joseph Naivar

December 4, 1943 — January 11, 2021

Benjamin Joseph Naivar, known as Benny Joe or BJ to family and friends, was called to the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021 at his home in Granger, Texas, at the age of 77.  He was born on December 4, 1943 to Adolph and Lydia (Malish) Naivar in Taylor, Texas.

Benny grew up in Taylor.  He graduated from St. Mary’s High School, where he met the love of his life, Connie Kaiser.  They were married on September 7, 1963 and spent over 57 years together.  The two enjoyed visiting family and friends and took trips throughout Texas and the United States.  They enjoyed organizing a Naivar Reunion each year.  They spent many days enjoying a meal and conversation with others at Sirloin Stockade in Taylor.

Benny was a lifelong farmer.  He loved the land and being outdoors on a tractor or bulldozer.  He was the owner and operator of BJ’s Dozer Works for many years.  He was a loving husband to Connie, and a devoted caregiver for a number of years due to Connie’s medical conditions.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clifton and Robert Naivar and sister Jean Kubacak.

Benny is survived by his wife Connie, children Charlotte and Brian.  His grandchildren include Jamie, Tabetha, Ben, Bryce, Alexandra, and Joseph and great grandchildren are Kamyllia, Bonnie, Junior, Jericho, Marie and Charles.  He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In memorial, donations can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School at 520 Washburn Street, Taylor, Texas 76574.

A visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Providence Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday, January 18th, 2021, at the Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
