In Loving Memory of Benito (Bennie) Lopez
With heavy hearts, we gather to remember and honor the life of Benito Lopez, affectionately known as Bennie. He peacefully departed this world on August 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
Born on March 11, 1961, Bennie was welcomed into the world as the beloved son of Steve and the late Anita Lopez. He was nurtured in a close-knit family alongside his sisters: Jenny Ontiveros and Lisa Lopez, who is married to Augie Lopez; and his brothers Ricky Lopez and Robert Lopez, who is married to Christine Lopez. Bennie was also preceded in death by his mother Anita Lopez, sister Becky Gutierrez, and brother-in-law Rudy Ontiveros, reuniting with them in eternal peace.
Bennie's devotion to his family was unwavering. He found his greatest joy in the presence of his children, Benito Lopez and his wife Ashley Lopez, and Bethany Lopez and her boyfriend Benjamin Gutierrez. Through his guidance, unwavering support, and loving nature, he bestowed upon them a legacy of love that will forever live on. He treasured the moments shared with his grandchildren, Evan Lopez, Aaron Lopez, and Olivia Lopez, who will always remember the warmth of his smile and the depth of his love.
Beyond his role as a father and grandfather, Bennie was a source of strength and comfort to all who knew him. His kind smile, genuine heart, and steadfast friendship touched the lives of many.
For multiple decades, Bennie dedicated himself to his work at Austin Glass & Mirror, leaving an indelible mark on both his colleagues and the community he served.
While Bennie's presence is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the stories and memories that we hold dear. May he find eternal serenity, embraced once more by those who have gone before him.
