BC was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years 2 months 2 weeks and 2 days, Normadene Moore Carter, his parents Mary Jones Carter and Milburn Carter, his brother HM Carter and wife Esther and his beloved nieces Marilyn Carter and Delores Carter Kelley.

BC was born on January 22, 1931, in the spot that he lived and died in Beaukiss, Texas. He attended 1 st -3 rd grade at Beaukiss School and 4 th -12 th grades in Thrall. After graduation at age 17 he received a full ride academic scholarship to the University of Texas in Austin, but came back home after 1 semester because, according to him, he was too young and homesick. He served in the National Guard for 7 years and then went on to work at Alcoa in Rockdale for 38 years and to drive for Maxwell Dodge for another 15.

BC was a hardworking, dependable, funny, tell it like it is man of God. He was an avid, lifelong Longhorn fan, attending his first football game with his mother in 1951. BC went on to attend most every home and many away games year after year until he could no longer navigate the DKR Texas Memorial Stadium steps in 2007.

He loved being at home in Beaukiss. Though he never traveled much, he was one of the smartest men we’ve ever known. There weren’t many questions you could ask him about sports, geography, politics, religion or life that he didn’t know the answer to.

He was loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Clint Brewer, Kris Brewer, Mike Hamer, Joseph Pausewang, Carter Hamer, Austin Pausewang, Fernando Rodriguez and Brett Krause.

Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor August 24 from 6-8 pm and funeral services will be August 25 at 10 am at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 100 CR 481 in Thrall. Longhorn attire is encouraged.

Donations can be made in honor of BC to the Shiloh Baptist Church, Thrall Texas.
