Aurora Martinez

Aurora (Dora) Martinez of Taylor, Texas was called to her heavenly home by God on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 93. Aurora was born on June 5, 1927 in Hutto, Texas.

She retired from Scott & White hospital (formally known as John’s community hospital).

Aurora was a godly Christian woman and wonderful lady, loved by everyone who knew her. She would find humor in every situation and the joy she had was a gift from God that would radiate towards others. Her hobbies were singing and dancing. Her pride and joy were her grandsons Joseph and Dominic.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Christina Gonzalez, her parents Santos Sr and Cleofas Martinez, her 3 brothers Martin, Hilario (Lee) and George Martinez.

Aurora is survived by her grandsons Joseph and Dominic, her siblings Carolina Dominguez, Mary Matuke and Santos Martinez Jr (wife Dolores) sister-in-law Gloria Martinez.

Serving as pallbearers: Joseph Hernandez, Dominic Gonzalez, Greg Matuke, Ernest Dominguez, Mark Dominguez, Carlos Alvarado, Ignacio Alvarado, Julian Alvarado and Andrew Martinez-Gallegos.
