Augustina Rodriguez

Tina Rodriguez, 67, from Taylor went to be with her Heavenly Family on October 9, 2022 in San Antonio.

Tina Rodriguez was born July 14, 1955 in Taylor to Augustino and Elena Ochoa. She grew up with her sister, Madeline, and brothers Paul and Joe. Tina was raised in Taylor, traveled around America after she graduated Taylor High, moved to Houston, then eventually ended up in San Antonio. She attended college at The University of Texas at San Antonio and obtained a bachelor degree in Spanish. She was married to Nicolas Rodriguez Jr. From this marriage came two children, Sung Guk and Nicolas 3rd. My mother spent much time working as a substitute teacher. Visiting many schools and reaching many children. When she wasn’t in a school, she was out and about fundraising. She loved going out and meeting many people while supporting a good cause and the church. Tina valued the most was friends, family, community, and God.

Tina is survived by her sons Nicolas Rodriguez III and Sung Guk Matthew Rodriguez, and her sister, Madeline Ohno.

Visitation is to be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd N.W., Taylor.

Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Providence Funeral Home with burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery, 1800 FM112, Taylor.
