Arthur Lopez

Arthur (Buck) Lopez, (73), of Granger, Texas, passed away on December 31st at his home.

Buck was born in Taylor Tx to Leonardo and Leandra Lopez on February 8, 1949. He went to school in Granger and was an avid supporter of his alma mater Granger High. Buck married the love of his life, Consuelo (Connie) Dominguez, on December 11, 1971 in Granger at their home parish of St. Cyril and Methodius.  Buck worked as an Operations Coordinator for Dell Inc. for 10 years before taking over as the Executive Director of the Granger Housing Authority for a number of years.

Buck was involved in the Williamson County Democratic Party and was elected as precinct chair and state and national delegate numerous years.
He was also a City of Granger Alderman from 1982-1984.

Buck enjoyed singing and playing his guitar, spending time with his family, watching his grandchildren, Arthur Michael and Alexandria (Lexi), in various events.

Arthur (Buck) is survived by his loving wife, Connie; son, Art (Bucky), and wife Trish, of Granger; grandchildren, Arthur Michael of San Antonio and Alexandria (Lexi) Lopez of Granger; brothers, Toby, and wife Gloria, Lopez of Cedar Park, Edward, and wife Dolores, Lopez of Temple, Albert (Boots), and wife Martina, Lopez of Elgin, Abelardo (Indian) Lopez of Hutto, Andrew, and wife Monica, Lopez of Jarrell; sisters, Linda Pedroza of Troy, Janie, and husband Ygnacio, Dominguez of Grapevine; sister-in-laws, Sally Lopez of Bartlett, Delfina (Fina) Lopez of Troy, and Alice Lopez Mares of Temple.

Arthur (Buck) is preceded in death by his parents, Leonardo and Leandra Lopez; son, Orlando D. Lopez; brothers, Leonard Lopez, Robert Lopez, and Benito (Benny) Lopez.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 pm Thursday, January 5th, at Providence Funeral home in Taylor, Tx with Rosary to immediately follow from 7 – 8.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, January 6th, at St Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will immediately follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger.
