Arthur attended school in his hometown of Thorndale, TX where he graduated a Thorndale Bulldog class of ‘66. Shortly after graduating, he joined the Navy and was discharged with honors for medical reasons. Once back from the Navy, he had several jobs until he found the passion of his life with the Taylor Fire Department. During his 27-year tenure, he worked his way up to Captain and made many lifelong friendships that would endure the passing of time. Along with firefighting, he spent 15 years as an emergency responder, EMT, and paramedic. One of his favorite past times, in his later years, was to reminisce and tell stories of his glory days with his buddies on the force. He was so committed to the fire department that he would criticize and correct any fire or emergency responder scenes that he would see on television. Outside of the fire department, he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and outdoorsman. Arthur is a born-again Christian and faith-based believer. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and he loved God with all his heart. He spent many hours praying over all those that needed help and for those he cherished, which he continued doing so until his final moments in this world. He also very much enjoyed spending time with friends and family. His greatest accomplishments included being a loving husband and father. For this, he will be greatly missed.
