Antonio R Rangel passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 4 in his home surrounded by his family.

“Tony” as most everyone knew him as was born April 5, 1935 in Inez, TX to Manuel and Gertrudis Rangel. He met the love of his life Ernestine Soto and married on December 23, 1958. Tony was a very hard-working man working many years at American Desk and Taylor Bedding. He had a love for playing the accordion and was in multiple conjunto bands.

He is survived by his four children: Roseann Salazar (Fidensio), Gloria Moreno (Mateo), Antonio Rangel Jr. (Rosie) and Donna Gamez (Patrick) siblings, Esther Velasquez (sister) and Jesse Rangel (brother) and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Manual and Gertrude, wife, Ernestine Rangel and siblings Joe, Ignacio, Manuel, Richard, Janie, Margaret.

Grandchildren: Fidensio Salazar Jr, Kathy Renee Salazar, Kimberly Marie Salazar, Ramiro Moreno, Patrick Anthony Gamez Jr., Cortney Gabriella Gamez, Joey Alvarado and Alyssa Dakota Rangel.

Great grandchildren: Abigail Machuca, Fidensio Salazar III, Esai Salazar, Carmela Salazar, Jaiden Gareth Orozco.

Services: visitation is Monday, July 8 from 5:00 – 7:00pm followed by rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral will be Tuesday, July 9 th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church – 113 Dickey Street, Taylor TX 76574 interment following at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
