Antonio Lopez Castro

Antonio Lopez Castro died peacefully at his home in Thrall on the morning of January 25, 2023.

He was born February 21, 1932, to his parents, Apolinar and Natalia Castro. During his 90 years on Earth, he fought in the Korean War serving for the U.S. Army, he retired from Chrysler assembly work, and he had an extended family that loved him dearly.

Antonio was preceded in death by his parents, Apolinar and Natalia Castro; brothers, Joe, Daniel, Manuel, Juvenal, Thomas, Lionzo and Jesse Castro; sister, Rosie Mendoza; and son, Carlos Castro.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Castro; sons, Fernando Castro and Conrad Castro; daughters, Liza Wolfe, Linda Sebena and Lydia Gonzales; sisters, Lupe Carrizales and Virginia Arzola; grandchildren, Jonathan, Anthony, Eddie Jr., Eric, Leandra, Aileen, Alexandra and Alyssa; and great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and other friends and family.

Due to weather and power issues Mr. Castro's Thursday Evening visitation is cancelled. Please see updated service times below.

Visitation is to be held from 9:00 - 10:00 am with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary during that time, Friday, February 3, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, February 3, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 111 W. Rio Grande St., Taylor, burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
