Anna (Ann) Tallant Geil passed away with her family by her side on September 8, 2021. She was born on June 26, 1930 in New Orleans, LA and was the daughter of William and Anna Hopkins Tallant.

She grew up in New Orleans and attended Catholic school and graduated from Dominican High School. She then graduated from Garner Secretarial School and worked at Loyola University where she met her husband, Art.

After leaving New Orleans due to her husband's IBM career, she moved to Maryland, Illinois, California and finally settled in Austin, Texas. Six children were born to their 47 year marriage. Her husband, Art Geil, passed away in 1999.

Ann enjoyed a variety of hobbies throughout the years, including painting, playing bridge and dominoes. She also enjoyed volunteering at Seton and Seton NW. She was a charter member of Seton NW. She was co-founder of the Great Hills Subdivision Ladies Club and loved her many friends. She was a member of St. Monica's Holy Family guild and traveled with them on many fun trips.

She enjoyed eleven years at the SPJST Assisted Living in Taylor, Texas. There she met wonderful caretakers and friends, including Suzanne Huzer. Suzanne generously volunteered many hours with Ann instructing her in some of her best paintings. They became very good friends. Thank you Suzanne and thank you to all of the wonderful caretakers throughout the years at SPJST Assisted Living and at the Long Term Care facility.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Billy) and daughter-in-law Becky, and brother Billy.
