Andrew J. Pedroza Sr.

Andrew Pedroza, Sr., age 64, of Granger, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, in Temple, Texas.

Andrew was born on May 23, 1960, in Taylor, Texas, to Guillermo and Maria Louisa (Vasquez) Pedroza. He attended SSCM Catholic School in Granger before graduating from Granger High School, where he played football and baseball. He spent much of his life in Granger, raising his children.

Andrew loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping at the lake with his family and children. He was an umpire in his spare time and worked for several companies, including McDonnell Douglas, Wilsonart, Humanetics, and Paradigm Metals. He had a passion for barbecue and participated in many cook-offs over the years. Andrew also loved cheering for his favorite teams: the Green Bay Packers, the Atlanta Braves, and the Texas Longhorns.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Angelica Pedroza; his brothers, Johnny Pedroza, William Pedroza, and Randy Pedroza; his brother-in-law, Robert Lopez; and his nephews, Erik Lopez and Austin Owens.

He is survived by his children: Andrea Pedroza Maffia of Cannelton, Indiana; Anna Pedroza of New Braunfels; and Andrew Pedroza of Austin. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Lexy, Tory, Danika, and Aiden; and his great-granddaughter, Lyla.

Andrew is further survived by his sisters, Alice Mares and her husband Ed of Temple, Vickie Owens of Knoxville, Tennessee; his brothers, David Pedroza and wife Linda of Cedar Park, Joe Pedroza and wife Stacey of Thorndale, and Robert Lindemann of Bartlett; his sisters-in-law, Erlinda Pedroza of Troy, Rebecca Pedroza of Taylor, and Gloria Pedroza of Milano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
