Alvin William Loeve passed peacefully on Friday, June 15, 2018. He was surrounded by his loved ones during his last few days and will be dearly missed by all.
Alvin was born January 10, 1938, the 2 nd of three children to Alvin and Ella Loeve. He resided in Granger until he joined the US Navy in 1955. After retiring from the service in 1975 Alvin returned to Texas where he spent time in Taylor and Georgetown and ultimately retired to Taylor where he spent the remainder of his life.
Alvin was happiest when he was spending time hunting, fishing, playing dominoes and drinking Pearl Light with his “buddies” and cooking BBQ for family and friends.
Alvin was preceded in death by both parents, his wife Robyn Loeve, and his brother Gene and sister Delores.
Alvin is survived by his daughter Lennice McAdams, and husband Jimmy, his son David Loeve and wife Karen, his daughter Brenda Rekieta, his daughter Bonnie Loeve, his daughter Tammy Hubnik and husband Shawn, his daughter Raye Testolin and her husband Tony and his step-daughter Jennifer Zeplin Austin. Alvin is also survived by his 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and his 4 nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 19 th from 6:00 -7:00 with a rosary service to follow at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20 th at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Taylor.
