Abel Jacobo Villafuerte

Abel Jacobo Villafuerte, 74, passed away on October 11, 2024, at a hospital near Round Rock, Texas, due to long-term health issues.

Sr. Villafuerte was born on December 1, 1949, in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, to Ma Luz Jacobo and Eucebio Villafuerte, Abel moved to the United States in his twenties. He married Maria Carmen Cervantes on April 16, 1982, and together they raised five children. Abel enjoyed a fulfilling blue-collar career at Durcon, where he eventually retired. He cherished his free time tending to his farm animals and spending time outdoors with friends and family.

His family and friends remember him fondly: “Abel was friendly and loving, always ending his conversations by sending his blessings.”

Abel is survived by his wife, Maria, and their five children: Abel Villafuerte Jr., Robert Villafuerte, Gabriel Lee Villafuerte, Florinda Ann Villafuerte, and Danny Anthony Villafuerte. He is also survived by three daughters-in-law, 19 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
