Edgar Thiele

Edgar Thiele, 88, of Coupland, Texas was called home to the Lord on November 29, 2010. He was born on February 20, 1922 to Emil and Mary Thiele. Edgar married the love of his life, Ruth Mager Thiele on November 23, 1950. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together.

Edgar served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was extremely proud of it. He was a lifelong member of St. Peters UCC in Coupland. Edgar was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, Farm Bureau Brotherhood and Herman Son’s Lodge.

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Mary Thiele, brother Ewald Thiele and wife Alma, and sister Bertha Schuster of New Orleans, LA.

He is survived by his wife Ruth, sister Mary Ann Thiele of Taylor, special son, Joshua Wells and wife Katie and son Casey of Allentown, PA., Anna Marie, David and Kristel Wolbrueck of Round Rock, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edgar was a beloved husband, loving father and wonderful person. He will be forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten.

A visitation service will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, December 2, 2010 at St. Peter's Church in Coupland, Texas. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Peters UCC of Coupland, P.O. Box 146, Coupland, TX. 78615 in memory of Edgar Thiele.
