Elizabeth Urbanek Roberts

Elizabeth was born and raised in Taylor, daughter of Anton and Millie Urbanek. After her marriage to David Roberts, they settled in Corpus Christi, TX. and started their own business, “Roberts Vending and Catering.” After the birth of her two children, Margaret R. Matta and Mark Roberts, they moved to California where they started their own billiard business, “Nor-Cal Billiards”. After retiring Elizabeth, her husband and children moved back to Taylor.

Elizabeth (known to all as “Betty”) was a very loving and kind person always lending a helping hand to her family and friends. Elizabeth was very honest, smart, and a hard worker. She loved animals, working in her flower garden, and cooking Sunday dinners.

Her family meant more to her than anything she had ever accomplished.
She is survived by her husband, David S. Roberts; daughter, Margaret Roberts Matta and husband, Robert; son, Mark D. Roberts; grandchildren, Vanessa Cruz and husband Alex, Jared Matta, Chaston Matta, Isaac Roberts; great-grandchildren, Natalie Cruz, and Kimberly Cruz.

Elizabeth loved the Lord with all her heart and will be deeply missed by everyone.

Visitation will be 12-2 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Providence Funeral Home with Msgr. Lonnie Urban Officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
