Paul Vincent Villanueva

Paul Vincent Villanueva,60, of Taylor, Texas died Saturday, July 3rd at San Antonio University Hospital after a long battle with his illness. The visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday July 13, 2010 at Providence Funeral Home. The Rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday July 13th at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, TX. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday July 14th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.



Paul was born July 19, 1949 to Serafin and Enedina Villanueva in Grafton, North Dakota. Paul attended Temple Community College where he met the mother of his children. In his years, he enjoyed fishing, refereeing, coaching Pop Werner football and umpiring. He enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren. He was known to all as PaPa and will truly be missed.



Paul is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Villanueva.



He is survived by his children, Monika Villanueva-Diaz and husband Tito; Jennifer Cassady and Marcus Villanueva and fiancé Autumn Houlton; sisters, Maria Leon and husband; Stella Vargas and Martha Inez Villanueva; grandchildren, Megan Rodriguez, Nicole Cassady, Justin Diaz and Jayna Cassady. Paul left behind many aunts, uncles and cousins that will miss him tremendously. They all loved him like a son/brother.



Pallbearers will be Michael Vargas, Thomas Villanueva, Jr., Iban Leon, Domingo Alderete, Jr., Daniel Vasquez, Mark Lopez and Paul Trevino. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Diaz and Andrew Gonzales.
