Randolph Edward Huber, 81, of Taylor, Texas, passed away July 30, 2017, at his home.
Randolph was born May 3, 1936 in Eddy, Texas, to Randolph Alfred and Aletha Mae (Fields) Huber. On June 23, 1956, he married Verlyn Heckmann. They were blessed with three sons.
Randolph was a loving husband, father and Dada. He was a wonderful role model with his kind, understanding and gentle ways. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor for the past 60 years.
Randolph was employed by Texas Department of Public Transportation for 42 years. He loved camping, hunting and fishing with family and friends and made some of the best BBQ you ever tasted. He took great pride in having a large, beautiful garden and generously shared the produce with family. His prize possession was his family. He also cherished his 1958 Chevy that his dad bought new. Occasionally, he would take it out to do a little "hot-rodding". He loved playing practical jokes, especially on his family.
Randolph was preceded in death by his father and his mother.
He is survived by his wife, Verlyn. He is also survived by his sons Ricky and wife, Kim; Ronnie and wife, Suzanne; and Roger and wife, Melody.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Stacey Randig and husband, Barret; Blake Huber and wife, Alicia; Ammi Huber and fiancé, Thomas Betchan; Cole Huber; Cory Huber; Travis Huber and wife, Tara; Collin Huber and Bryce Huber; and his great-grandchildren Dillon Cone, Ava Huber, Ashlynn Huber, Brynley Huber, Parker Huber, Kason Huber, Randall Beau Randig and Baby Boy Randig.
Pallbearers will be Travis Huber, Blake Huber, Collin Huber, Cole Huber, Cory Huber, Bryce Huber and Dillon Cone.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Services will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Burial will be at Taylor City Cemetery.
