Maezola Brown

Maezola Brown was born on March 10, 1941 in Smithville, TX. She is one of six children born to Milton and Bettie Mae Griffin. She received her heavenly wings on the early morning of July 27, 2017.

Maezola attended school in Thrall, TX and was an avid cook her entire life. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Parks Springs Baptist Church for many glorious years.

She married Lawrence J. Brown on September 17, 1976 who preceded her in death.

Maezola was also preceded in death by her parents Milton and Bettie Mae Griffin, brother Roy Griffin and sisters Arzella Pullins and Betty Jackson.

She leaves to cherish in memory three sons Jeffrey Hattley, Carl Hattley and Lonnie Deary, four daughters Janet Hattley-Davis Moore (Darrell), Angela Carr (Ruben), Tonya Terry and Sonya Terry, two step-children Kenneth Brown (Ann) and Brenda Cathey (Rozell), her pet named Sugar, special friend Raymond Hattley, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. and the Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 31, 2017, at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
