Belinda Kim Contreras

April 30, 1963 — July 15, 2017

Belinda Kim Contreras, 54, from Freeport, TX, lost her battle with cancer and went home to the Lord, Saturday, July 15, 2017. Kim was a brave, passionate, and strong woman. Everything she did was laced with vibrancy and love. She loved her friends and family deeply and without limits. If you knew Kim, you knew what made her heart beat, because she wore it on her sleeve.

She taught those close to her how to be strong, how to walk into the hard times with their chin up and shoulders back, forget about the small stuff, and choose their battles wisely. Kim was compassionate and chose a life of nursing where she cared for many people. Her hobbies included sitting on the back porch with friends and family, riding the Harley with her husband, fishing, and going to the beach.

She is survived by her husband, John Contreras; sons, Johnny Robertson and wife Destiny, Erik Stratton and Sherri St. George-Darley, Aaron Stratton and wife Laramie; step-children, Edward Flores, Aaron Rosie Flores, Benjamin Resa, and Christina Contreras; siblings, Barbara Robertson, Billy Joe Robertson, and Rocky Robertson; her best friend, Brenda Cerny; grandchildren, Waylon, Melodie, and Haden Robertson, Braely Stratton, Carson and Cambrie Stratton, Junior Flores, Cole Resa, and Malik and Moses; and her godchildren, Haley and Stephen Cross.

She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of her nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Wanda Robertson, and her brothers, Floyd and James Robertson.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, July 19th, from 6-8pm at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. NW, Taylor, TX. We will meet again at Providence on Thursday, July 20th, at 12:30pm, to proceed to Palm Valley Lutheran Church, 2500 E Palm Valley Blvd, Round Rock, TX where Kim will be laid to rest. Services at Palm Valley will commence at 2pm.

A celebration of Kim’s life will follow at the home of John and Kim.
