Diana (Dee Dee) Gail Hamilton

Diana Gail (Dee Dee) Hamilton, 68, of Taylor, passed away at Trinity Care Center in Round Rock on July 9, 2017. Dee Dee was born in Taylor on April 5, 1949. She graduated from Taylor High School in 1967, and worked in Austin and Taylor for many years. Dee Dee enjoyed a variety of pastimes including gardening, listening to Willie Nelson, trekking through the Hill Country, and crafting unique gifts for friends and family.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law April Vega and Frank Vega II of Thrall; son Jason Faykus of Taylor; grandchildren Brooke Vega of San Marcos and Brandon Vega of Round Rock; brothers Denny Hamilton of Taylor, Gary Hamilton of Taylor, and Chuck Hamilton of Austin. Her parents, Charles and Betty Hamilton, preceded her in death. Dee Dee’s family would like to thank the staff of Trinity Care Center of Round Rock for their compassion and caring in recent months.

A graveside service will be held at the Taylor City Cemetery on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of one’s choosing.
