Clarissa White Story was born January 25, 1923 to the late Rev. Anthony White and Missionary Emma White, the fifth child of seven children. Raised in a Christian home, she came to know about Jesus at a very early age and embraced salvation early. Later through the early years of her ministry, she began to have a desire to do something for God. She founded three churches and turned one over to one of her son-in-law’s who had the calling of Pastoring.
She is survived by one sister, Johnnie D. Norman and husband Jerome Norman of Jamaica, New York.
Clarissa is leaving to mourn six of her eight children, Delores Henry of California, Gloria Blue and husband DeWayne Blue of Missouri, Alice Story Henderson of Dallas, Eddie V. Story, Jr. of Dallas, Gary L. Story of Dallas, Annette Reed and husband Levaughn Reed of Alvarado, Texas. Her two children, Sally Metters and James Roland, preceded her in death. She is also leaving behind 18 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and relatives and friends.
She fulfilled her life by teaching many. Her one major speaking, “The Red Letters,” inspired many to know the word of God for themselves. She was a strong woman in Faith and believed the Bible as it was written. She wants everyone to continue in love and stand in the teaching of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Cor. 1:13
