Emma Lee Cage Kellough, age 86 of Hutto, passed away Friday, February 17, 2017.
Emma Lee Cage Kellough was born to Clinton Stevenson and Viola Burrell in Plum, Texas. They relocated to the Hutto area. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age. While living in Hutto she was joined in marriage to Jim Cage, Sr., to this union 12 children were born. She later married Willis Kellough.
Although Emma never punched a clock, she worked endless hours caring for and loving everyone that came through her doors. She was a mother to all. So much so that her home was known as “The Do Drop In”.Emma was known for baking her famous pies, especially the delicious pecan pies.
Emma was a faithful and dedicated member of Little Ebenezer Baptist Church until her health failed.
Preceding her in eternal rest are: Willis Kellough, Jim Cage, Sr.; Daughters, Willie Mae Barnes, Cheryl Jackson; and 3 infant children.
Cherishing her memories are her children: Jim Jr., Rita (John) Thomas, Joyce Spencer, Wilbert Cage, Rosetta Cage, Charlotte (Donald) Kerley, Cassandra Kitchen; Elroy Cage; son in laws, Rev. Oscar Barnes, Michael Jackson; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, February 24, 2017 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel.
Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church, Pflugerville, TX.
Burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.
