Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through his servant Sharon Morgan.
Sharon Rene’ Muegge Morgan, went to be with her Savior on Saturday, February 4th 2017 at her home in Taylor. She was 57 years old.
Sharon Muegge Morgan, was given life by her creator and was born August 19, 1959, the child of Harold Muegge and Arline Heintze Muegge of Thorndale. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church on September 13th, 1959 by Pastor Vernon Appel.
On May 21st.1972 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Sharon received the precious gift of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood and she confessed her faith and was confirmed by Pastor Appel.
She was blessed with the gift of two children. Sharon worked most of her life, beginning at the age of 16 working at the Thorndale Café. She worked in several other café’s as a cook and wait staff. She later worked as a clerk at Shamrock and then as a nurses aid for at the then Sweetbriar nursing home. She then worked for many years at the hospital in Taylor as a nurses aid. She had a great love for caring for people. She had a way of making people forget their problems and bring a smile and laughter to their life. During this time she also worked as a home health caregiver. At the time of her death she was employed as the assistant manager at Translodging in Taylor. Sharon was never afraid of hard work and took pride in being able to care for her family.
Sharon had a giving and compassionate heart and often opened her home to others in need. This might be a single individual in need of help, or a grandmother with her daughter and grandchildren who were in need of help. She was known as “mom” and “grandma” to many along with her own two children and three grandchildren.
She found great joy in her own three grandchildren, Jordin, Kylie and Dominic and loved making them chicken and dumplings.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Arline “Heintze” Muegge.
She is survived by her two children, son Richard and girlfriend Trinie of Taylor, daughter Ciera Linton and husband Robert of Taylor and her three beloved grandchildren Jordin, Kylie and Dominic. Her brother William Muegge of Taylor, sister Barbara Machu and husband Marvin of Thorndale, sister Jody Cervenka and husband Bennie of Taylor, brother Jeff Muegge and wife Denise of Thorndale. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers include nephews Jason Cervenka, Chad Cervenka, Mathias Muegge, Clayton Sankey, Wesley Payne, Son in law Robert Linton..
Honorary pallbearers are baptismal sponsor Billy Biar, Friends Destry Young, Richard Schneider, cousins Royce Glen “Butch” Muegge, Arbie “Skip” Muegge, Rudy Garcia, and Larry Jureski.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home. Services will be on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord for our Sister, Sharon.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran LWML or the St. Paul Lutheran Church General Fund in Thorndale, TX.
