James P. Kaspar

James Patrick Kaspar, 61, of Taylor, passed away January 18, 2017.
He was born May 13, 1955, to Rudy and Lillian Matula Kaspar. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1973. He lived most of his life in Taylor, and worked at a number of jobs in the local area throughout the years.

James was a talented guitar player and wood worker. He enjoyed old movie Westerns, Czech music, making barbecue, and visiting with his many wonderful neighbors.James had a gentle soul and and a kind heart, and was always eager to lend a hand to friends and neighbors as long as his health allowed.

He is preceded in death by his father, Rudy. He is survived by his mother Lillian Kaspar, brother Thomas Kaspar, and sister Donna Kaspar Piburn and husband Jim; step daughter Stacey Williams and husband Michael; nephews Luke Kaspar and J.D. Kaspar, and niece Savannah Kaspar.

Pallbearers will be Luke Kaspar, J.D. Kaspar, John Hobbs, Bill Kaspar, Jr., John Raesz, Buddy Gaswint, Randy Gaas, and Craig Scott. Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Williams.

Visitation will be Sunday January 22 from 4-6 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Monday January 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Taylor.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of choice.
