Eulalio "Lalo" Urias

Eulalio “Lalo” Urias, 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

Lalo was born on February 12, 1940 in Buena Vista, Chihuaha, Mexico to Juaquin and Manuela Urias. His younger years were spent going to school and later helping family with the ranch work. As he grew into a young man, a certain young lady by the name of Eduvijes “Vicky” Tavarez caught his attention. He became so smitten, he took her home to be his bride.

Lalo worked in many capacities to provide for his family. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, farmed in McCamey, TX, and spent many years in the construction field in Odessa and later in the Austin area. He was a devout Catholic, a Cursisllita, proudly served the Knights of Columbus, the Holy Name Society, ministered as a Christian Soldier by Faith, and served his community. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his father and son, Noe Urias.

He is survived by his mother, wife, children Silvia U. Revilla and husband Martin of Caldwell, Saul Urias of Coupland, Sergio Urias and wife Viola of Round Rock, Neomi U. Haynes and husband Warren of Coupland, and Nicolas Urias of Austin, brother Florentino Urias, sisters Aida Casillas and husband Robert and Eva Gutierrez and husband Apolonio “Pole”, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jaime Urias, Javier Urias, Rafael Urias, Trinidad Urias, Jesus Manuel Jimenez, Ismael Venegas, Luis Urias, and Florentino Urias, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Saul Urias, Sergio Urias, Nicolas Urias, and Shawn I. Cope.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with rosary at 6:00 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.
