Glenn Ray Naivar

Glenn Ray Naivar was born May 16, 1946 to Lygie and Ruby Naivar in Taylor, Texas. He passed away on December 24, 2016 in Temple Texas at the age of 70.

Glenn served in the National Guard until he took over the Pepsi-Cola family business after his dad passed away in 1969. People knew him as the “Pepsi-Man”. He then became the owner of Naivar Texaco until he retired. Glenn loved the outdoors, tinkering and fixing everything and anything he could. He loved being involved in the Taylor 4H and Taylor Little League with his kids. He was a good husband, father and an exceptional Paw Paw.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lygie and Ruby Naivar Howerton, his step-dad James Howerton and sister-in-law Devona Naivar.

He is survived by his loving wife Sally Naivar and two children, son Jason Naivar and wife Ashley, and daughter Sarah Manuel and husband Matthew. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Harper and Leighton Naivar and Luke and Jack Manuel. He is also survived by his brother David Naivar and fiancé Sharon Pick and sister Patricia Haverland and husband Doug.

Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral home Taylor, Texas Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm with rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Taylor, Texas on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Interment immediately following at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Brandon Naivar, Braeden Lawhon, Craig Naivar, Dustin Naivar, Heath Haverland, Kyle Gonzales, Scott Jezek, and Travis Prause.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Taylor 4H/FFA PO Box 1289 Taylor, Texas 76574 or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society www.lls.org or a charity of your choice.
