Marlene and Lonnie lived in various cities in Texas before settling down permanently in Taylor to raise their 4 daughters. Marlene was lucky enough to be a stay-at-home Mom, but loved filling in part time when needed at the American General Insurance office in Austin. Her daughters were also lucky to have her as a stay-at-home Nana keeping the 4 grandchildren while they worked.
Her hobbies included hunting, fishing, family beach and lake trips, and of course shopping, but most of all she cherished attending every event for her grandchildren. Marlene loved to cook and the family enjoyed a home cooked meal every night. Holidays were filled with cookies and candies that she made for the family, but also shared with Lonnie’s co-workers every Christmas.
Christmas was one of her favorite holidays and she made sure the yard was fully decorated for everyone in Taylor to enjoy.
Survivors include her daughters Becky Marburger, Sharon Marcon and husband David, Vickie Marshall and husband Chris, granddaughters Ryan Marshall Winkelmann and husband Mack, and Mallory Marcon, grandsons Brady Marshall and Seth Marcon (all of Taylor), brother-in-law Rodney Marburger and wife Peggy, and many nieces and nephews.
