Roberto Reyes, Sr.

Robert Reyes Sr., 56, of Taylor, Texas relocated peacefully to heaven on December 1st, 2016 while at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 6th, 1960. Robert was a loving and generous family man that fought a long battle with cancer until his very last day. His strength and resilience shined through during his fight as he showed the family how to face daily challenges. He lived a life where he always tried to help others even when he was going through difficulties himself. He was a simple and grateful man that loved to make others laugh everywhere he went, for this he will always be remembered.

He is preceded in death by parents Pantaleon & Paulita Reyes, and brother Joe Juan Reyes of Taylor, Texas. He is survived by wife Olga Reyes, children, Denise Reyes, Michaela Reyes, Robert Reyes Jr., Destiny Hernandez, Angie Davila, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by siblings, Maria Medina, Raymond Reyes Sr. and wife Yolanda, Manuel Reyes Sr. and wife Marcelina, Yolanda Reyes-Sanchez, Hortencia Leyendecker, Pete Reyes Sr. and wife Leticia, Dora Reyes and Max Franco, and Richard Reyes Sr. as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all friends and family that have been by Robert’s side during his fight. Even though he passed from battling cancer, this was a battle that he was victorious in, as he is now with his parents in Heaven and Our Heavenly Father.

Visitation will be held on Monday December 5, 2016 from 6-8pm at Providence Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2016 at 10am also at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery
