Oma Lee Leschber, 85, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at her home in Taylor.
She was born in Florence, Texas on February 27, 1931 to Lee and Laverne (Dodson) McCarley. She attended school at Georgetown High School. She married Curtis Leschber and they were married for 61 years before his death in 2010. Together they owned and operated the Taylor Beverage Barn for 18 years. Lee also worked for House Jewelry in Taylor. In her spare time, Lee was a wonderful seamstress, enjoyed quilting, and going gambling in Horseshoe, Louisiana. She loved spending time with her family and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Oma Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two sisters.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Talley and husband Tommy of Taylor, Kenneth Leschber of Aransas Pass, Daniel Leschber and wife Teresa of Snook, Amy Watson of Taylor, sister Jean Arnold, brother-in-law Ivan (Tootle) Leschber and wife Barbara of Taylor, sister-in-law Rosalie Havelka of Austin, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Trent Talley, Tyler Talley, Troy Talley, Clayton Holder, Shelton Reeves and Blair Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Tommy Talley.
Visitation will be 3:00-5:00 P.M., Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
