Robert John Bohac

Robert John Bohac, 64, was called home by our Father surrounded by family on Friday, November 4, 2016. Robert was born in Taylor, TX on February 2, 1952 to Agnes (Hajda) and Albin N. Bohac. He married Diane Kotrla on October 12, 1974. They were married for 42 years.

Robert was a farmer his entire life and his son, Tyler, joined him in farming their family land. He was awarded Outstanding Conservation Farmer in 2001 for the Little River-San Gabriel Soil and Water Conservation District. He also served in the Army Reserves for 6 years.

Robert had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman sharing his passion with his children and grandchildren. He spent his free time enjoying family cookouts. He and his wife, Diane, loved spending time together at their lake house on Lake Buchanan with their grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Agnes and Albin N. Bohac and grandson Keegan Matthew Bohac. Robert is survived by his wife, Diane (Kotrla) Bohac, his daughter Melanie Bohac and son-in-law Jerry Sullivan of Pflugerville, son Matthew Bohac and daughter-in-law Crystal, along with his grandchildren Case and Sophie Bohac of Granger, and son Tyler Bohac and girlfriend Katie of Granger. As well, he is survived by his brothers Albin Bohac Jr. and wife Clarice of Brenham, and Franklin Bohac and wife Kimberly of Taylor; sisters Donna Kaderka and husband Leslie of Granger and Susan Krueger and husband Scott of Salado; and many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 from 6-8pm, with the Rosary at 7:00 PM at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Granger, TX.

Pallbearers will be Paul Bohac, Nick Kaderka, Cody Trautmann, Kyle Bohac, Bradley Stefek, and Eddie Kotrla.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, TX.
