Jack Cullen Winterrowd, Sr. of Thrall, died October 27, 2016. He was the only son of W.A. and Margaret Stiles Johnson Winterrowd and was born on April 4, 1934. He married Shirley Lawrence on August 28, 1954 and was a graduate of Thrall High School in 1952 and Texas A&M University in 1956. He was a farmer and lifelong resident of Williamson County in the Thrall community.
He is survived by four children: Jack Winterrowd, Jr. and wife Tammy of Georgetown, Janet Daniell and husband James of Brenham, Christy Pick and husband Donald of Taylor and Cass Winterrowd and wife Tricia of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two nieces Debbie Moehnke and Ginger Brown and their families.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife and one grandson Jeremy Rohlack.
He was an avid history buff who loved to talk about Williamson County history. He especially enjoyed sharing stories about his days at A&M and his upbringing. He was profoundly interested in genealogy and spent many hours in his later life documenting his family history and sharing that with his heirs.
In lieu of flowers, his request was that any remembrances be made to the Lawrence Chapel Cemetery Association care of Kimberly Miller, 109 Sentry Point, Hutto, TX 78634.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Thrall Baptist Church.
