Louise Nora Duncan, age 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at her home in Fort Worth, Texas. Louise was born in Taylor, Texas on February 25, 1921 to Herman and Louise Krueger Kruse. Louise loved being around her family and friends. She worked as a hair stylist and owned her own salon for many years. She enjoyed reading, going out to dinner and visiting with her friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne E. “Andy” Duncan, parents, brothers Charlie Kruse and wife Christine and Vernon Kruse and wife Viola, sisters Olga Kruse Jaecks and husband William “Sonny” and Gertrude Kruse, and a niece, Verna Lou Anderson and husband Leonard.
She is survived by her loving nephew, Randy Jaecks, who dedicated years of his life to caring for his dear Aunt Louise; step children Roger Duncan and wife Kathy of Arlington and Shirley Howard of Hico; grandchildren Dustin Duncan and wife Meaghan of Grapevine; Kacy Duncan of Live Tree, Colorado; David Howard and wife Ashley of San Marcos; great grandchildren Presley and Preston Howard; nephew Charles Kruse and wife Debbie; niece Linda Limmer and husband Wayne; great nieces, Melissa Randig and husband Ron and Tammy Talley and husband Jason; great nephews Justin Anderson and wife Cindy, Vernon Anderson, Kyle Kruse and wife, Leslie; and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.
We want to thank Asana Hospice, Dr. Michelle Torres and staff, Gloria Bermejo, and Carol Spenser who was a loving neighbor and friend.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the Taylor City Cemetery. Pastor Kerri Veit will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church P.O. Box 1182, Taylor, Texas 76574.
