Allen Andrew Butler

Allen Andrew Butler passed away peacefully on 24 May, 2016 at the age of 34. Born in Virginia on a snowy Good Friday, he lived all around the world as an Army Brat, and settled in Georgetown, TX in 2012.

Allen Butler was born on 9 April, 1982 to parents Ben and Laura Shrader Butler. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004, earned his LEED®AP in 2009, and his Texas Teaching Certificate in 2015. He worked as an online tutor and prolific writer, a sustainability technician for CxGBS in Atlanta, a math tutor for Sylvan in Austin, and was employed as a high school math teacher for Granger School at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his parents, Ben and Laura Butler, his brother Brian (Cassie) Butler, his grandparents Jim and Jane Butler, his grandmother Dorothy Joan Shrader, aunts and uncles Kathy (Eddie) Murray, Nancy (Bob) Dailey, Scott (Janet) Shrader and Mark Shrader, and cousins Rob (Brittney) Dailey, Jay (Katie) Murray, Leanna (Chris) Smotherman, Katie Murray, Marybeth (Christopher) Allison, Michael Murray, Courtney Shrader, Natalie Shrader, Zachary Shrader, and Kahron Marie Shrader.

A memorial service was held 28 May, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown, TX. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Fisher House Foundation.
