Newlon Johnson

Newlon, Newt to some, Rich to others, came into this world on January 15, 1941 to Fritz W. Johnson Sr. and Lucille Robinson in Georgetown, Texas. Newlon returned home to our Heavenly Father on April 19, 2016 at his home in Taylor, TX.

He was proud to call Taylor his home for over 50 years. He touched so many hearts while he was here and we will miss him dearly.

Newlon leaves behind four brothers, Billy B. Johnson, Reuben Johnson and wife Tommie C., Rudy Johnson and Fritz “Chris” W. Johnson, Jr.; 3 sisters, Margaret “Wee” Johnson, Lucille Washington and Sarah Ann Catney. Also he leaves behind a very special nephew, who was also his caregiver, Kevin L. Townsend and fiancé Maggie Martinez and numerous nieces and nephews.

Newlon is greeted in Heaven by his father, mother and 3 sisters, Ora Lee McKinney, Lula Mae Strait and Amber Bradford.

Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Taylor City Cemetery.
