Frances Olene Phillips

Frances Olene Phillips, 92, of Taylor passed away April 4, 2016.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Providence Funeral Home with Royce Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Olene was born September 17, 1923 to Augusta and Bertha (Pope) January in Bend, Texas. Her family moved to Lampasas where she graduated high school. In 1945 she married Henry Phillips and moved to Taylor, where she has lived ever since.

Olene was a member of the Hwy 95 Church of Christ and was very active in doing the Lord’s work. She had a tremendous love for her flowers. Her greatest joy of all was her two grandchildren and her four great grandchildren.

Olene is survived by her daughters, Brenda Welch and husband Gerald of Taylor and Sue Phillips of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Clint Welch and wife Sarah of Granger and Cody Welch and wife Melissa of Round Rock; great grandchildren, Jacob and Emily Welch of Granger and Benjamin and Emma Welch of Round Rock.
