Guadalupe Martinez, 89 of Hutto, Tx passed away at home on Jan. 13, 2016.

The daughter of Sylverio Vargas Lopez and Eufracia Herrera Vargas. She was born in Sand Springs, OK on August 12, 1926. She’s proceeded in death by both parents and husband Nicolas Martinez Lopez.

Doña Lupe (as most people knew her), was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She loved spending time with her family, she loved gardening, flowers and crocheting. People who knew her well had great respect and loved her advice. Most of all, she enjoyed and loved being a devoted catholic. She often read scriptures and the rosary. The legacy of her kind spirit and adoring heart will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her sons; Jesus Martinez and wife Iris of Taylor, Simon Martinez and wife Dora of Austin, Daughters; Maria Rodriguez and husband Javier of Chicago, Isabel Cavada of Hutto and Carmela Martinez of Taylor. Grandchildren Gabriela Rodriguez, Javier Rodriguez and Ricardo Rodriguez all of Chicago. David Martinez, Edgar Martinez and wife Noemi, all of San Antonio. Maritza Morales and husband Jose of Cedar Park. Patricia (Paty) Chaidez and husband Phillip Lopez Jr. Veronica Sanchez and husband Keith all of Taylor. Great-grandchildren; Richard Ruiz III and Dominic Ruiz of Taylor. Madison Martinez of San Antonio. Diego Rodriguez of Chicago.

Pallbearers will be; David Martinez, Javier Rodriguez, Edgar Martinez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Richard Ruiz III, Phillip Lopez Jr., Jose Morales, and Keith Sanchez.

Rosary will be at 7;00pm Tues Jan. 19, 2016 at Providence Funeral Home
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor, TX.
Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery
