Matthew Castillo

Matthew F. Castillo, 24 of Granger, died January 9, 2016 due to a terrible car accident. He was born July 4, 1991 in Temple, Texas. He graduated from Granger I.S.D. in 2009 where he was a member of the football team, powerlifting and cross country track.

He enjoyed fishing, mechanic work, construction and spending as much time with his son. His son was his world, Xander meant everything to him.

Matthew is survived by his son Xander Frank Castillo; parents Remigio Castillo and Theresa Castillo; siblings Remigio (Mick) and Shayna Castillo, Andrea Castillo, and JB Castillo and Ciera Strmiska; nieces and nephews Victoria and Remigio III, Kiara, Xavier and Kenneth, Jr. He is also leaving his grandparents Joe and Minnie Perez of Granger and John and Kim Ramirez of Salado and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rosary will be 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at the Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 15, 2016 at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger. Burial will follow at the Bartlett City Cemetery. Matthew will be placed next to his grandparents Frank and Rosalinda Castillo and cousin Alysia.
