Lynn Talley Tiemann, 64, passed away on December 17, 2015 at his home. Lynn was born in Taylor, Texas at Johns Community Hospital to William Frederick Tiemann Jr. and Suzanna Ward Talley Tiemann.
Lynn was a graduate of Taylor High School, Class of ’69 and attended The University of Texas at Austin. He was a local business man for more than 18 years as the owner of the Phillips 66 Convenience Store at the corner of 7th and Main in Taylor. He loved fishing, camping and watching baseball, especially his beloved Astros. You could also count on him taking your picture. He was always the one capturing those special moments. He was a kind hearted person who loved to joke around and make people laugh. He was a devote Catholic and became a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in 1980 and attended there until his death. Lynn is survived by a daughter, Lynsey Tiemann-Lefner and her husband, Stephen Lefner and a son, Justin Tiemann. He was blessed to have three beautiful grandchildren Zayne and Zayda Tiemann and Weston Lefner. He will be missed greatly by his big brother, William F. Tiemann, III (Bill) and wife, Rhonda, and his younger sister, Tina Sue Rozacky and her husband, David. Lynn also will be missed by nieces Stephanie (Tiemann) Range, Vanessa Sue Tiemann, Cassie (Rozacky) Rinderknecht and his nephews Charles Tiemann, Travis Rozacky and Trent Rozacky. He has numerous cousins he leaves behind but was especially close to Michael Zane Lumbley and his wife, Deb.
He is welcomed into Heaven by his parents, William F. Tiemann, Jr. (Bubba) and Suzanna Ward Talley Tiemann (Sue), his baby brother, Charles Tiemann and his beloved son, Jordan Zane Tiemann.
The visitation will be Monday, December 21st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary from 7:00-8:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 22 at 1:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor and burial following at Calvary Cemetery in Granger.
Pallbearers will be Denny Hamilton, Charles Sutton, Lynn Cmerek, Charles Tiemann, Travis Rozacky and Trent Rozacky. Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Lumbley, Bill Tiemann and David Rozacky.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Austin Recovery in honor of Jordan Z. Tiemann or a charity of one’s choice.
