Richard D. “Dick” Peterson entered into eternal life on November 1st, 2015. He was born to Rudolph Ernest Peterson and Emily Hilda Vincik Peterson on October 19th, 1939, in Georgetown, Texas, the fourth of 4 children.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 41 years, Johnnie Mae of Taylor,Texas; daughter, Jeanie Marie Weiss and husband, Mike of Houston, Texas; granddaughter: Marissa Broadhurst and husband, BJ of College Station, Texas; grandson: Matt Weiss and fiancé Amanda Heath of Round Rock, Texas; stepgreat-grandchildren, Abby and Sebastian Heath; sisters: Elaine Penry and husband, Bill of Wichita Falls, Texas, Joan Wingard and husband, Ronald of Lockhart, Texas and sister in law: Margaret Peterson of Summit, Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents, Rudolph Ernest Peterson and Emily Hilda Vincik Peterson; and loving brother, Rudolph C. Peterson.

Dick was a great man—hardworking, compassionate, loving, and selfless husband, father, and grandfather; to Dick family always came first. He worked in the banking industry most of his life. Later on in his life, he sold computer software to banks. He enjoyed boating, golf, reading, traveling and spending time with family. Dick was an amazing man and will be missed by many.

The family expresses deep gratitude to all who cared for Dick, especially doctors Mark Stone, Ray Kurkchijski, Rafael Gonzalez, Peter Cheung, Nurse Michelle H., Holly P., and Jonathan G.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 7th, 2015 at 10:00 am at Providence Funeral Home, located at 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. Taylor, Texas.
