Mildred Zamorsky

Mildred M. Zamorsky, 96, of Thrall, Texas passed away October 9, 2015.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Mildred was born May 24, 1919 in Taylor, Texas to Albert and Mary Emma (Wuthrich) Burow.

Millie graduated from Hutto Highschool. She began teaching in rural Texas. In 1945, she married Willie Zamorsky. They were married 60 years until his death in 2005. They had three son who they raised in Thrall, Texas. Millie obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas – Austin, and resumed her teaching career, teaching for more than 20 years for Thrall ISD. As a Business teacher, she had many students compete successfully at UIL Tournaments.

Millie was an amazing seamstress who sewed her own Wardrobe until her later years, as well as sewing for her family. She also made wonderful arts and crafts which she sold at craft fairs.

Millie and Willie loved to travel. They traveled throughout the world and to Polka Festivals throughout the United States. They could also be found at Polka Festivals throughout Texas where they made many friends. Millie was an avid reader, loved jigsaw puzzles and was always up on current events.

Mildred greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death on July 13, 1974 by her son Kevin Zamorsky and on September 5, 2005 by her husband Willie Zamorsky.

Mildred is survived by her sons, Allen Zamorsky and wife Pat of Belton and Gary Zamorsky and wife Judith of Austin; two granddaughters, Amy Simme and husband Ryan and Vicki Segna both of Austin; two great grandchildren, Ireland and Ryker Simme of Austin.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall.
