Ralph Bachmayer

Ralph Charles Bachmayer, 81, of Beyersville passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. Ralph was born in Beyersville Texas on December 13, 1933 to Charlie and Martha (Roerh) Bachmayer. He was a 1951 graduate of Taylor High School and in 1956, he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Lou Findeisen.

Ralph was a third generation cotton ginner and was still very active in the operation of the Thrall Gin Company, which he owned and managed since 1991. In his earlier years, Ralph also operated a bulldozer in partnership with his late brother, Erwin. He served his community as President and Operator of Noack Water Supply Corp for 43 years. In 1989, he formed a cattle partnership with his sons Harlan and Todd. Ralph took great pride in his close relationship with his children.

Ralph enjoyed running bulldozer, ginning cotton, working cattle, and hunting. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a loving father and caring grandfather. He was a good and honest man who will be missed by all who knew him.

Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Martha; his sister Joyce; brothers Raymond and Erwin; and by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Lou. He is survived by his son Harlan Bachmayer and wife Pam of Beyersville , and son Todd Bachmayer and wife Kim of Davilla. He will be especially missed by his only grandchild, Brodie Bachmayer of Davilla. Ralph also leaves behind his best friend Joyce Klotz, whom he shared a special relationship with until his death.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 10th, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m, Friday, September 11th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor. Ralph will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery.
