Chad Lenz

Chad Lenz, 40, of Thorndale, Texas, was taken from his family and friends on August 26, 2015.

Chad was born on October 24, 1974, to parents Raymond and Suzanne Lenz of Thrall, Texas. He married Mandy Margeson on July 3, 2010.

Chad graduated from Thorndale ISD in 1993 and in 1998 received his bachelor's degree from Sam Houston University in Huntsville, Texas. He was a state employee for several years before joining the family business as Sales Manager at Taylor Equipment in Taylor, Texas. During his time at Taylor Equipment, he created a vast network of customers, friends and organizations.

Chad touched countless lives in so many amazing ways. He had a love for life and will forever be remembered for his broad smile, contagious laugh, and famous bear hugs. Chad perpetually had a kind, encouraging word and always lifted the spirits of those around him. He had the kindest, most gentle heart, and a patient spirit. He had a soft spot for the many children in his life, with whom he shared his life lessons and wisdom. Chad’s love for his family and friends was immeasurable. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and son.
Chad’s favorite past times included hanging out with his family and many incredible friends, hunting, fishing, firing up the BBQ pit, and his Aggie football. He was an amazing contributor to his community and a strong supporter of the Thorndale 4-H, Texas Firewalkers, and the Burn Unit.

Chad will be missed dearly by all who were blessed to know him.

Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman and Marjorie Harris, William and Elise Lenz, Sr., and Walter Rick.

Chad is survived by his wife, Mandy Lenz; sons, Braeden and Zackary Lenz; parents, Raymond and Suzanne Lenz; sister, Kimberly Biar and husband Gavin; niece, Elise Biar; nephews, Samuel and Isaac Biar; aunt, Jan Grisham and husband Charlie; cousins, Scott Holder and wife Kim and Miles Grisham; mother and father in law, Susan and Duffy Margeson; and G-Ma Alda Rick; uncle Steve Hart, Numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 10am. Burial to follow at Prince of Peace Cemetery at Wuthrich Hill.
