Ann Hilscher Weaver

June 1, 1927 — July 4, 2015

Ann Hilscher Weaver, 88, of Georgetown passed away July 4th, 2015. Ann was born June 1, 1927 to Joe and Louise Hilscher. She grew up in Stamford, TX and graduated from Stamford High in 1944. Ann married Holland James Weaver December 17, 1944. He preceded her in death in 2002 after 57 years of marriage. Ann and Holland had 3 children, Jeanine, Lea and Arvin.

The Weavers moved to Austin in 1960 after farming in Rule, TX for several years. Ann worked for the State Bar of Texas Law Center, where she enjoyed and loved the young people she worked with, and for Austin ISD.

Ann loved to be around young people and loved to have her children and friends visit. She enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for loved ones.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Holland, her brothers Herman, Frank and Raymond, her daughter Lea and grandson James.

She is survived by her brother Joseph, her children Jeanine and Arvin, her Grandchildren Ann, Tommy, Stacy, Chris, Beth, Kimberly and Josh and her Great-Grandchildren Charlotte, Keith and James.

Services will be Thursday July 9th at 2:00 PM at 10th Street Methodist Church in Taylor, TX. The funeral will be followed by interment at Taylor City Cemetery. Following the services, there will be a reception at the 10th Street Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Visitation will precede services on Wednesday July 8th at Providence Funeral home in Taylor, TX at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Disabled American Veterans or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Ann was a blessing to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
