Donald "Pete" Sullivan

Donald Bruce (Pete) Sullivan died on June 16, 2015 at Granger Villa in Granger Texas after a long battle with cancer. Pete was born on August 7, 1931 in the Tennessee community of Fernvale to Andrew Madison Sullivan and Sarah Frances Givens Sullivan. He was the youngest on nine children. Pete served in the National Guard and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After basic training, he was assigned to Bergstrom Air Force Base, Austin, Texas. Following his military retirement, he worked at Westinghouse for ten years.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Andrew Sullivan and Wylie Sullivan, his sisters Lillian Inman, Gertrude Heithcock, Mary Sweeny, Eddean Gregory, and Molly Davis. He is survived by his wife Peggy Krueger Sullivan, his daughter Mona Zimmerman, his son Michael Sullivan, his granddaughters Vanessa Lee and her husband Kevin Lee and their children Hattie and Quen, Candice Zimmerman and her husband Christian Gireaux, and one sister Marjorie Edgmon of Franklin Tennessee.

Pete loved to go fishing and did so for many years. He hosted, along with family and friends, for many years dove hunting gatherings and his famous fish fries. He loved these outdoor activities.

Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 19, 2015 at Palm Valley Lutheran Church, 2500 E. Palm Valley Blvd., Round Rock, TX. Burial will follow at Palm Valley Lutheran Cemetery.
