Edward Joe Machac

Edward J. Machac of Cat Spring, TX passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday May 27, 2015 at Will-O-Bell Nursing Home in Bartlett, TX. He was 71. Edward was born on May 30, 1943 in Taylor, TX to the late Joseph and Hattie Vrana Machac of Granger, TX. Edward proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from May 1960 until May 1964. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant E-3. Edward dedicated many working years to Dover Elevator in Austin, TX where he eventually retired. He was an adamant hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and enjoyed celebrating holidays and special occasions with family and friends. Edward was always the life of the party and the first one on the dance floor. He will be truly missed, and no family function will ever be the same
He is survived by his two sons Wesley and Travis Machac, daughter-in- law Hillary Machac, grand-daughter Emma Machac; sisters Evelyn Sands, Jannette Rychlik, Julie Kolinek and her husband Leroy; brothers, Billy Machac, Jodie Machac and his wife Rachel; sister-in-law Donna Machac; brother-in-laws R.L. "Blackie" Nash, and Richard Vasut; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Waiting to welcome Edward and get the eternal party started are his parents; sisters Vlasta David and her husband Tim David Sr., Georgie Vasut, Lydia Nash and Jerlene "Sugar" Roberts; brothers Johnny Machac and Jerry Machac Sr.
Rosary will be recited Friday, June 5, 2015 at 9:30 A.M. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Granger, Texas
Memorial Mass will follow at 10:00 A.M. at SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery
